Life & Death

This special piece serves as a summary for one of my favorite chapters from a book I hold very dear, The Untethered Soul, by Michael A. Singer. The chapter beautifully narrates the duality of life and death, and I hope to do the same here in a poetic way.
Approaching unexpectedly in ways more than one,
It carries emotions of weight greater than a ton.
Striping each from the lifetime of labels acquired,
It proves with every conquer that we are identically wired,
Reminding us all that we come and go with no attire.
Death is that other half, the loyal wife,
"...[it] is the greatest teacher in all of life".
For when it arrives there are no delays,
After all, you had all this time to enjoy life in your own ways.
Remember, between an inhale and exhale is a lifelong tale,
So live each day with fulfillment, without letting your dreams frail.
