One More for the Books

A coalition of empowered women gathering,

This is the start of another beginning.

Streets filled with people and purpose, representing a heritage so cool,

We are here now to build a school.

Expectations derived from the past are on a replay,

For there are many thoughts and things to say.

The excitement, warmth, and welcome are grand,

This universal love remains something I continue to try and apprehend.

Slowly and slowly, as we work and build together,

Relationships and communications seem to only get better.

With sweet roasted coffee and delicacies of delight,

Everything about the people, place, and project seem right.

Every meal, interaction, and hospitality have shown and shared traditions of a century,

Making it impossible to ever forget this visit, this entry.

Hearts full of memories and eyes of tears,

We say goodbye, knowing this won't be the last without any fears.
