Sunrise in Vegas

Glistening lights contoured the miles-long pathway,

While carcinogens occupied spaces whether night or day.

Some lost track of life to the beat of their feet,

And others were found wagering their earnings from their seat.

Creating a sense of endless possibilities,

This was where people came running from all responsibilities.

Living every second as if it were a lifetime,

The memories of this time were nothing but prime.

Then the morning arrived,

With a postcard from the experience survived,

Leaving a lingering taste of the previous night,

For this was Vegas done right,

And now reality stood ahead in plain sight.
