Thrive

Triggered by an event and a preconceived notion,

We put the worst of us in motion.

Becoming victims to a spell of an unintended potion,

And letting impulse spread all over like lotion,

Why do we let being good and doing good become a former devotion?

Avoid all the internal noise and commotion,

Become an expert with every emotion,

And strive for a personal promotion,

For we are each just a part of the big ocean.
